It's not the dog's fault

In my book, I cover why it is dangerous to let the dog be confused or misguided about its place in the “pack”.

In this case the “pack” is the family.

If in any way you treat your dog as an equal to you or any member of the family it is highly likely that one day that dog will turn on the person it has been sharing equal billing with and try to assert itself as the only one of the “pack” at that level. This can happen to the child it is closest to or anyone else, including you. The book explains why this is so and how and why you must establish the dog’s place in the pack very clearly.
